How long does it take to lay a driveway?

This depends a lot of the work needed and the style of driveway you have chosen.  When we give a quote, we can usually give an idea of the expected finishing time although weather does play a part!   But we always aim to complete the job as quickly as possible.

Do I need planning permission?

In most cases, as long as there is adequate drainage such as a lawn or soil area, there’s no need to get planning permission for a driveway, decking area, patio or new paths.  But we always check the project before we begin and if we think you might need to check with the local council, we will let you know before we start.

How long do we need to stay off the driveway?

This depends on the type of material used but for concrete drives, for example, it will usually be 24-48 hours for foot traffic.  If we are adding a sealing layer, it is best to wait until we confirm this is completely set.  We normally say at least 4 days for car traffic.

What kind of decking do you offer?

We offer a full range of decking services including different wood finishes, shapes and also features to add to them.  We give a bespoke quote for all work.

Do I have to go ahead after a quote?

No, all quotes are no obligation, so it is entirely up to you if you want to proceed with what we quote.
